Hosting — Netlify
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Netlify processes server log data on our behalf: IP address, time of request, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system identifier, and referrer URL. Netlify delivers the site through a content delivery network with server locations inside and outside the European Union.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a reliable, secure and fast presentation of this website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Netlify, and transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Please note that the USA does not offer a level of data protection comparable to the EU. See netlify.com/privacy.
Contact form, email and telephone
If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by phone, the details you provide are stored and processed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Form submissions are transmitted and temporarily stored via "Netlify Forms" from the hosting provider named above. The form contains a hidden honeypot field to deter automated submissions; no additional personal data is collected and no cookies are set.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (effective handling of enquiries) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent was requested. Your data remains with us until you ask for deletion, withdraw consent, or the purpose ceases to apply — statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising technologies.
If you switch between the light and dark appearance, your choice is stored in your browser's
localStorage under the key theme so the site reopens the way you left it. This stays
on your device, is never transmitted to us or to third parties, and is technically necessary for the
function you requested (§ 25(2)(2) TDDDG). You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
External services and fonts
This website embeds no external fonts, icon services, maps, videos or social media plugins. All fonts, logos and icons are served from our own server, so no connections to third-party servers are made when the page loads. Links to external sites (such as GitHub or Xing) are plain text links — data is only transmitted once you actively click one.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to information about your stored personal data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing; the right to rectification or erasure; the right to restriction of processing; the right to data portability; the right to object under Art. 21 GDPR; and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
